Miguel is Brazilian and an Engineer at Human Made. He is a free software evangelist, passionate about open source software and online systems architecture, and has more than 20 years of experience in web development. A significant amount of his experience has been managing software engineering teams focused on building government software solutions, such as a geographic information systems for managing public resources for Brazilian municipalities.
Outside of engineering, Miguel is passionate about music, photography, chess and reforestation. Driven by using technology as a tool for social transformation, he believes that another world is possible – a society which prioritises collaboration, cooperation and collective well-being, with more respect for the environment and more opportunities for people.
