Learn More About GreenGeeks

We chatted with Anna Gargioni from GreenGeeks to find out what excited them about partnering with WordFest Live. We asked Anna, “Why is reaching out to the remote working community important to GreenGeeks?”

Her response:

“Technology has come a long way over the last 20+ years. Think about it; in 1999, did you ever think you’d have the option to work from home, on your own computer, and still be an efficient employee? Well, those of us who were around in 1999, anyway.

And although technology isn’t absolutely perfect 100% of the time, there’s no doubt that it will continue to advance for the workforce.

At GreenGeeks, we want to be part of that community, and share our experiences with remote employment and online freelancing. Including how it can impact you from a mental perspective. After all, a lot of us at GreenGeeks work remotely as well.”

Next, we wondered what was new with GreenGeeks or if they had anything coming up that they could share with us, and she shared:

“Recently, GreenGeeks has partnered with One Tree Planted, an organization that plants trees on the behalf of donors in various areas across the globe.

For every customer who signs up with GreenGeeks, we will have one tree planted in a random location. This is to help ensure that the trees are evenly spread out.

Since its organization in 2014, One Tree Planted has planted over 20 million trees. It is our goal to contribute to the next 20 million.”

Additionally, Anna wanted us to know:

“We love to participate as much as we can within the WordPress communities, and we’re proud to support WordFest.

Mental health is always a key issue and being able to help organizations such as Big Orange Heart allows us to contribute and hopefully make someone’s life just that much better.

Especially when you consider how depression and mental illness was on the rise even before the current pandemic. As many people work remotely, being in lockdown and social distancing made interpersonal interaction that much more difficult. And many people are negatively affected by this kind of thing.

Luckily, there are organizations like Big Orange Heart that help individuals manage their daily routines.”

Make sure to find GreenGeeks during the event and swing by the Games Tent to see what all they have planned!! Until then, follow them on social media and send them a “Thank you!” for sponsoring!

WordFest Live will feature speakers, partners, and attendees from across the globe.
