share

We’re excited to announce that Post Status, GiveWP, and WP Buffs have partnered with WordFest Live and will feature across the live event on July 23, 2021.

Introducing Post Status, GiveWP, and WP Buffs

Post Status

Post Status is dedicated to informing WordPress professionals and enthusiasts about the industry. We’re a diverse and welcoming association of hundreds of professionals and experts from every sector of the WordPress community. We’re also a mature group, with roots grown deep and wide since 2013 — and we have fun as well!

GiveWP

GiveWP’s mission is to provide anyone, anywhere with the most secure, optimized, and flexible open source suite of WordPress fundraising plugins.

We’re building the future of fundraising by  always continuing to improve upon our capability to serve your cause. In 2015 we set out to create a solution for anyone to receive donations on their WordPress-powered websites with as little barrier to entry as possible.

It’s our mission to continue building, improving, and empowering fundraising efforts worldwide.

WP Buffs

WP Buffs provides 24/7 WordPress website management and support services that power digital growth. Maintenance services for serious website owners. White-label site management for agencies and freelancers.

We asked representatives from each of the companies a few questions to find out what excited them about partnering with WordFest Live:

Cory Miller from Post Status
Drew Griswold from GiveWP
Nick Adams from WP Buffs

Here’s what each of them had to say! First, we wondered why reaching out to the remote working community is important to each company.

Cory started us off by sharing:

Helping the remote working community is important to us because our audience of WordPress professionals is composed of distributed teams and companies, their owners and employees, numerous freelancers and independent contractors, consultants, and other people who work remotely.

Drew followed with:

Reaching out to remote workers is at the heart of what we do. GiveWP users are freelancers, agencies, and non-profit staff and volunteers – all of which have some (if not most) remote work components.

The nonprofit sector is comprised of many organizations working within budget and staffing/volunteer constraints, striving to fulfill their missions, and needing to focus on their own mental wellbeing at the same time. Supporting Big Orange Heart’s WordFest is a way for us to give back not only to the WordPress community, but also to all of those who are striving to make the world a better place through the work of their own organizations.

And Nick rounded it out by saying:

Since its start in 2016, WP Buffs has been an entirely remote company. Spread all around the world, our team of WordPress experts knows first-hand the joys and challenges of being in a different place than your coworkers. We know how important connection and community are and we are proud to be a part of this community!

Next, we asked if any of them have anything special planned for WordFest Live attendees and the theme seems to be connecting with the community!

Nick pointed out:

Our team will be available to talk with WordFest Live attendees and answer any questions they may have about how we can help make their lives easier by taking care of their or their clients’ websites so that they can focus on the things they want to do.

And Drew let us know:

We’re looking forward to meeting folks at our Community Tent table, where they’ll have the chance to meet some of the GiveWP team, win GiveWP swag, and discuss all things fundraising!

Finally, we gave them the chance to share with us anything new or that they have coming up.

Cory mentions the new opportunities coming to Post Status:

We are continuing to improve our membership experience by expanding our Jobs section, and planning online and in-person events in 2021

Nick shared about WP Buffs virtual summit this fall:

Coming up on September 21-23, WP Buffs is hosting the second annual WPMRR Virtual Summit. It is a free, online conference 100% focused on helping you make monthly recurring revenue work for your WordPress business.

And Drew couldn’t wait to tell us about GiveWP’s upcoming release:

One of our most exciting releases is right around the corner! Peer-to-Peer fundraising is a huge tool in a fundraiser’s tool belt, and it’s been one of our most anticipated releases. Folks can learn more, or sign up to be the first to access the add-on, here: https://givewp.com/addons/peer-to-peer/

We also have Text-to-Give coming out in the next few weeks, which will be a game-changer for nonprofits looking to accept donations via text.

Additionally, Drew wanted to highlight GiveWP’s blog:

The GiveWP blog is an excellent resource for all the fundraisers out there. We’re constantly updating the blog with different fundraising ideas, nonprofit tips, case studies, and more.

Take a minute to find Post Status, GiveWP, and WP Buffs at the live event July 23 and swing by both the Games Tent and Community Tent to see what all they have planned!! Until then, follow them on social media and send them a “Thank you!” for sponsoring!
