William and Aida Jackson

William and Aida Jackson

William is a teacher of 32 years in the area of public education. He has taught on the elementary, middle and in higher education teaching STEM, STEAM and STREAM educational strategies.

He has been involved in the WordCamp community since 2010 and a KidsCamp volunteer/teacher since 2018.

Aida is an author, artist and advocate for STEM, STEAM and STREAM in schools and the community of Jacksonville, Florida. Providing workshops for youth, teens and young adults with the local library, partnerships with The Microsoft Store and other community organizations. She is a community activist that shares her knowledge about the importance of Arts education.

They both are professors in higher education and love to sponsor and teach in KidsCamp events locally in Jacksonville, nationally and internationally. Their passion is to volunteer, speak, teach, organize and advocate for youth, teens and young adults to be increasingly involved in the WordPress and Word Camp community.

They have been teaching in-person and virtually with KidsCamp since 2018 in the United States, Canada, Central America and provided strategies in African and Central American WordCamp conferences. William and Aida manage the WordPress Jacksonville Kids Meet Up that is held once a month.
