Why is reaching out to the remote working community important to you?
Matthew from 20i said:
A lot of us have been working from home this year and it’s important we find ways to avoid becoming isolated and stay connected with our communities.
Supporting events like WordFest Live 2021 means we can help attendees meet new people and engage with fellow WordPress enthusiasts.
At Termageddon, Hans offered:
Just like with anything in life, there are pros and cons to everything. With remote work, however, there are often more pros than cons. With that said, remote work has a potential con, which is the feeling of isolation, and it is for this reason that we are proud to sponsor events that bring the remote working community together, so individuals can realize they are not alone!
We then asked; how have you adapted to the virtual event environment?
At 20i, Matthew said:
Thankfully we adapted very quickly and embraced the change. If anything we’ve got even more involved with supporting events this year.
We are always looking for new ways we can help support the design and development community. Events and meet-ups are an ideal way to learn new things and meet like-minded people.
Hans at Termageddon added:
Our transition to virtual event environments has been positive overall. We sure do miss saying hi to old friends, agency partners and clients at meetups in person, but with virtual events, we get to see lots of people and cover more ‘virtual’ ground in less time!
When asked about what excites them most about the virtual event space, Matthew at 20i went on to say:
Virtual events bring so many creative possibilities for delivering the content and help break down geographic barriers for attendance. They are essentially helping to democratise knowledge as well as providing a safe space for anyone to feel comfortable they can attend.
